Compassion based. Strengths based. Evidence based.
I am Annie, the founder of Finding Possible, where we explore what becomes possible when we embark on your therapy journey together. After 39 years in this profession, I still find that I am absolutely inspired by the resilience and courage of the human heart, and feel that to be a therapist is a tremendous privilege.
Finding What's Possible Together
My work is grounded in three core principles: compassion based, strengths based, and evidence based practice. I believe in the power of collaboration. The therapeutic process is something we create together, honoring your knowledge about what you need and what works best for you, I will offer expertise on the options of neuroscience informed therapeutic modalities from which we can choose, that build on your strengths, your needs, and your goals.
My practice utilizes neuroscience based modalities not only because they are effective, but also because they offer a pathway to healing old wounds with each other and within ourselves. This isn't just hope, it's science. Through the therapeutic relationship and evidence based interventions, we can harness the benefits of mirror neurons, empathy, and vulnerable sharing to create lasting change.
I focus on what is resilient within you. Whether working with you as an individual to reclaim your sense of self worth and self trust, or as a couple wanting to find your way back to each other, I create a space where you can feel genuinely heard without judgment.
It's a privilege to be trusted with your story, and I approach each session with humility, humor, and deep respect for the courage it takes to seek support. Together, we'll discover what's possible when you have the right tools, the right support, and space to reconnect with your own wisdom and strength.
Evidence Based and Neuroscience Informed Approach
All my work is grounded in current neuroscience research and evidence based practices. I believe it's important to understand not just what we're doing, but why it works.
The science behind healing:
Neuroplasticity: Your brain can grow new neural pathways throughout life. Stuck patterns and negative self beliefs aren't permanent — they can change.
Mirror neurons and empathy: Through EFT, vulnerable sharing and empathetic responsiveness become a way to repair disconnection and old wounds.
Attachment neuroscience: Understanding how early experiences shaped your nervous system helps us work with your natural capacity for healing.
Neuroscience informed therapy is affirming rather than pathologizing. We focus on what's resilient about your responses. This scientific foundation provides hope. When you understand change is possible, it becomes easier for you to engage in the vulnerable work of therapy.
